Okay, I don't usually talk about what's going on at work. And I really won't give any details here except to say that I'm bitter and pissed at my company right now. I have a project due in the middle of next month which is pretty high priority. I have to go to a weekly meeting with the Executives to discuss this project... but there is a crunch going on so I'm being pulled away from it to do this other thing. Which now gives me 7 days to complete my original project.
I'm salary so it doesn't matter how much time I put in. But I was putting in at least an hour or more a day to work on this thing. That all stopped today!! I put in 8 hours and I went home! And I will continue to do so up until and past the due date.
It will be interesting when they ask how my part of the project is going and I tell them that it's not completely ready due to your other crunch...
Oh well!

That's one thing they never did seem to get over there...the concept of the trade-off, and the idea that one person can only handle x amount of work. If you give that person x+y amount of work, some of it ain't gonna get done.
